Slow laptop or overheating PC — Dublin repair
If your laptop takes minutes to boot, the fan screams constantly or it burns your legs, it is almost never "just old". Dust, dried thermal paste, a mechanical hard drive and background clutter are the usual four culprits — all fixable.

- Apps close by themselves or the machine reboots under load
- Battery life has collapsed
What usually causes it

- Thermal repaste on CPU and GPU with quality compound
- Temperature and stress testing before and after
- Startup and background service clean-up
- Honest advice on whether an SSD or RAM upgrade is the real fix
Common questions
Will a clean-out really make it faster?
It fixes heat-related throttling and noise. If the machine is slow because of an old hard drive, an SSD upgrade is what makes the dramatic difference — I'll tell you which one you actually need.
How hot is too hot?
Sustained 90°C+ under normal use means the cooling needs attention. I check the actual readings rather than guessing.
