Every repair I offer, with what it costs, what usually causes it and exactly what I do. Prices are guide ranges — you always get a fixed quote before any work starts.
Power & startup problems
A machine that shows no signs of life, restarts in a loop or dies halfway through Windows is one of the most common jobs I see. Most of the time it is the charger, the power jack, the battery or a corrupt boot configuration — not a dead computer.

If your laptop takes minutes to boot, the fan screams constantly or it burns your legs, it is almost never "just old". Dust, dried thermal paste, a mechanical hard drive and background clutter are the usual four culprits — all fixable.

Constant pop-ups, a browser that opens the wrong search engine, or a scary "call this number" warning are all signs of infection. Removal is straightforward — the important part is making sure nothing is left behind and your accounts are safe.

Deleted the wrong folder, or the drive suddenly isn't recognised? Stop using the device — every minute it stays powered on reduces what can be recovered. I do software and logical-level recovery, and I'll tell you straight away if a case needs a cleanroom lab instead.

The single best money you can spend on a computer more than three years old. Swapping a mechanical hard drive for an SSD usually turns a two-minute boot into fifteen seconds — and your existing Windows, programs and files come with it.

A cracked display, lines across the picture or a black screen is almost always the panel itself. I identify the exact panel your model uses, source a matching one and fit it, with a 6-month warranty on the part.

Time matters more than anything else here. Power off, unplug, don't try to dry it with heat, and get it to me quickly — corrosion keeps spreading inside for days after the spill, long after the machine appears to work again.

A console that sounds like a jet engine, shuts itself off mid-game or takes forever to load is usually just full of dust and old thermal paste. It is a cheap job that adds years to a PS4, PS5 or Xbox.

Consoles collect dust and their thermal paste dries out over time. A full clean-out and fresh thermal paste is the fastest way to fix loud fans, overheating and random shutdowns on PS4, PS5 and Xbox.
